Free Legal Advice for ASU Students

With school back in session, ASU police will be on high alert for ASU students who are breaking Arizona’s very strict laws. Your first year of college will be one of the best moments of your life. You are on your own for the first, experiencing your first sense of independence. While it is important to remember that you are at school to receive a good education, there should always be time to relax and have fun.

For generations, college has been associated with drinking. I don’t condone illegal activity, but it would be naïve for someone to believe that people wait until they’re 21 to drink. If you are under 21, the two most common scenarios where you will encounter alcohol is at a party or using a fake ID to enter a bar. Although most see this behavior as kids being kids, ASU and Tempe police see this as criminal activity.

ASU president, Michael Crow, is doing everything in his power to remove ASU’s stigma of being a party school. Part of eliminating this stigma is enforcing of underage drinking laws. Believe it or not, if you are cited or arrested for Minor in Consumption of Alcohol, Minor in Possession of Alcohol or Possession of a Fake ID, you are now facing criminal charges. It doesn’t matter whether you are a college student. Being a college student is not an excuse in the eyes of the legal system.

Arizona State University Lawyer

Here’s the good news, my law office is located just a few miles from Arizona State University. We have represented hundreds of college students for all types of criminal charges. If you are facing a criminal charge, you are not the first person to call us and you certainly won’t be the last. We understand that you may be too embarrassed to tell your parents. Even though you may not want to have this conversation with your parents, it’s important that you discuss your case with an attorney to learn what options you have. If you go to court without an attorney or without receiving sound legal advice, you could very well enter into an agreement that may ruin the rest of your life.

My office is glad to provide Arizona State University Students with free legal advice. Please call our office so we can discuss your case and your rights.
